Question

Hello

My Russian wife and I wish to get a divorce. I have given her about 120,000 USD since we were married and I do not want to try to recover this money. She can keep it. We just want a divorce. We have no property to divide and we have no children.

Please let me know what we must do to get a divorce. She lives in St. Petersburg and her and I together spend time in Dubai although we are both only in Dubai under tourist visas. I am a Canadian Citizen.

I do not wish to go to Russia to get a divorce. We have an embassy of Russia in Dubai that we can submit paperwork to get divorce.

Regards,

!
Answer

You need to get divorce through the Russian Court or ZAGS (court will be better). The Embassy is not an option. I will glad to handle your case.
