Question

Do you provide pre-nup services for residences of New Jersey? My future wife is arriving via K1 visa in February from Ukraine. I will need a simple pre-nup (I have very few assets, no property). Do we need two lawyers? One for her / one for me? I would also like a condition that if we have children, that the US citizen child will remain in US - if we divorce.

Answer

She doesn't need a lawyer unless she wants to. I can explain the procedure in further detail during consultation, which is included in the price of prenup.

In your situation you should have a prenup even if you have no assets.

During marriage you may acquire assets and without prenup she will own half of them.
